Christopher Smith
Transaction Manager, Community Outreach Officer

Christopher Smith is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of transactions and projects, as well as branding, marketing, publishing, community outreach, sustainability, and research. Mr. Smith also manages Community Advisory Boards for major Urban developments. He has 15 years experience in marketing and advertising which included Fortune 500 clients, numerous creative awards, and service as an Adjunct Professor (Copywriting) at the University of Oregon.

One of the original members of the groundbreaking triple bottom line financial services firms Portland Family of Funds and United Fund Advisors of Portland, Oregon, Smith led the communications team that supported growth from start-up to financing of projects with over $1.1 billion in total cost in 4 years (including $650mm in green buildings), beginning in Portland and moving to national markets.

He was co-creator of the Community Impact Report, a comprehensive financial, social and environmental study of New Markets Tax Credits projects. He has authored numerous articles in financial and sustainability publications, and concepted, and was Managing Editor of Voices of the Armory, the comprehensive text of the history and sustainable redevelopment of the Gerding Theater at the Armory.
